50th Anniversary of the Six Day War

June 12, 2017

Jews around the world will come together to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Six Day War.

David Rubinger’s iconic photo, “Paratroopers at the Western Wall,” is recognized as the defining image of the Six-Day War, during which Israel fought against Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. During the war, Israel gained control over Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria, the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights.

Rubinger captured a pivotal historical moment in his famous photo. That victory transformed the landscape of Israel – and the entire Middle East – and changed the lives of Jews worldwide.

We are excited to announce that ALL Three Paratrooper’s featured in this iconic photo will be reunited here in Atlanta for an exclusive celebration!

The FIDF commemoration will stress the importance of the Six-Day War and the sacrifices that IDF soldiers made – and still make – to ensure Israel’s survival.
