Innovation Workshop: Social Innovation Business Canvas

Do you have a passion and an idea to make the world a better place? There is nothing as powerful as a new idea in the hands of a skilled social entrepreneur, a visionary with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social problems.

Taking the lessons from successful leaders in social entrepreneurship (Prof. Muhammad Yunus, Ashoka Foundation and Skoll Foundation) and the proven start-up business knowledge of Steve Blank and Alexander Osterwalder – this working session will provide you with a hands-on learning experience. Understand how to use a business model to brainstorm each part of an enterprise and customer development, how to successfully transfer knowledge into products and processes that benefit both society and the entrepreneur and how to master the techniques necessary to test your hypotheses.

Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

1. Identify an idea/opportunity

2. Know how to test the market fit of the idea

3. Demonstrate the basic elements of a start-up
